Last weekend, my fiance, Ryan and I took our engagement photos. It was an awesome experience! First stop was Pittock Mansion, a French Renaissance-style "château" in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon. It was originally built as a private home for The Oregonian publisher Henry Pittock and his wife.
We set out early in the morning for sunrise, and boy was that a great idea because we had beautiful views and great lighting as the sun rose over Portland. Pittock Mansion soars 1,000 feet above the city's skyline and has fabulous views of downtown. It was quite foggy in the city below which made for awesome pictures as the tall buildings seemed to rise out of the clouds.
Though it was cold, in the 20s or so, it was well worth it!
