more exciting than new shoes?

NEW BOOTS! What's more exciting than new boots? I can't think of anything... I got these cute brown ankle boots from Charlotte Russe, on sale of course! I think they ended up being about $20. Such a great deal! I like these boots because I don't have anything like them in my wardrobe. The brown goes with most everything and they automatically dress an outfit up without being uncomfortable.

is it a dress or shirt?

I bought the striped top above originally as dress for my birthday back in January. It worked great with a pair of tights and heels. Now that I've washed it, it's a little shorter and I'm not sure I can get away with wearing it as a dress... at least not without some leggings. Have you ever bought something expecting you would wear it one way, and then realizing it works better another way?

putt putt

 Went putt putt golfing Friday night in downtown Portland with some great friends! Here are some photos taken right before. I went with a casual and easy to move in outfit. Guess what? I suck at putt putt, no matter what I'm wearing. But who cares... it was a blast!

sweatshirt kind-of-day

Ok, this is one of my all-time favorite tops... I know it's just a sweatshirt, but that's what makes it so great! It's comfy, warm and especially easy to throw on in the morning when I'm lazy and stare at my full closet, but nothing seems cute. What makes this sweatshirt better than any other sweatshirt is it's studs. Anything bedazzled is better, right? So even though this outfit isn't much, I thought I'd share it with you. Somedays it's just a sweatshirt kind-of-day!

the purple skinnies return

I actually wore this outfit to a baby shower this past weekend. I was hoping for a beautiful, sunny day. But instead, in Oregon fashion, it rained. So I opted for wearing pants, but brought out the wedges, so it would still have that spring feel.

A somewhat casual outfit, but perfect for this weird in-between weather. Anyone else having a hard time with outfits this month? I want sunny, warm summer weather so bad! Can't wait to start wearing shorts and wedges. On the bright side, I'm going on a cruise in 18 days!!! Hooray for dresses, bathing suits, flip flops and sunglasses!

easter... a day late

Easter was pretty laid-back this year. Brunch at my parents with the fam. I stuffed delicious food in my face, and still got to take home leftovers... Score! We also lucked out with sunny weather... Double Score!

oversized sweater

 This oversized sweater from Forever 21 is one of my favorite sweaters. It's super comfortable and the color is so versatile. It used to be long enough to cover my butt in the back, but it shrunk in the wash :(  I still love it, even though I can't really wear it with leggings anymore. I think it would be cute once the weather gets a bit warmer, paired with some bright colored shorts. Can't wait!
